BIO: |

William Rand (b.1953) grew up in Maine and graduated from the
Portland School of Art majoring in Painting in 1978. Dividing his
time painting in the eighties and ninties between Maine and New
York, and collaborating with poets from the Beat Generation and the
Warhol Factory, William had a one man show at Colby College Museum
of Art in 1993 before moving to Europe in 1996.
The artist now paints in his studio on the Spanish Mediterranean and
also in South Freeport Maine. |
