Bio:
Veronica
Cross attended The School of Visual Arts, The Art Students League, and The
Studio Semester Program at SUNY Empire State College. From 1996 to 1997,
she was an assistant to master printer Kathy Caraccio. She then served two
years as studio assistant to artist and mentor Stephanie Rose. Cross began
exhibiting widely in group and solo shows in 1998. In 2000, she initiated
a series of collaborative curatorial projects, including an artist
exchange between Cardiff, Wales, UK, and Brooklyn, NY. Cross’ move to
Maine in 2006 greatly informed her studio practice via exploration of
memory, desire and the marking of time, set into a landscape construct.
